The waves are as tall as two-storey buildings, the decks are treacherous and slippery, the work is exhausting and the prize is elusive... Deadliest Catch is back!
Following on from the hugely successful and highly acclaimed first series, Deadliest Catch Series 2 heads back to the heart of the hostile Bering Sea to follow the day-to-day lives of a unique breed of fishermen who risk life and limb, working themselves to the brink of exhaustion to haul their quota of crab as quickly as possible on three of the world's most dangerous fishing seasons.
This Incredible programme allows the viewer to follow the captains and crew of five ships on their dramatic voyage, competing not only against Mother Nature, but also each other, as they struggle against treacherous conditions to earn a living and, in many cases, to uphold a family tradition that has lasted for generations.
Documentary series focusing on the men who battle 40-foot waves, freezing temperatures and a nearly 100-percent injury rate as they fish for crab off the Alaskan coast on the icy Bering Sea. It's one of the world's most dangerous jobs but also one of the most lucrative, offering tens of thousands of dollars for a few days' work. Several fleets of fishing boats attempt to beat the clock to land a prize catch of Alaskan Crab.
