Ein Regierungsbeamter wird ermordet, der einzige Zeuge ist ein Hacker, mit dem er zuletzt telefoniert hat. Als Ryan und Esposito den jungen Mann in einem U-Bahn-Waggon finden, dreht er durch: Er nimmt Esposito und die anwesenden Fahrgäste als Geiseln - er will seine Freundin aus dem Gefängnis freipressen. Doch der Mann weiß nicht, dass er etwas viel Tödlicheres als Sprengstoff mit sich führt.
