  • Set in 1953 in the beautiful village of Grantchester in Cambridgeshire, the residents are in shock following the death of a villager, particularly as it is presumed to be suicide. Local vicar Sidney Chambers (Norton) is at the heart of the community and residents turn to him for comfort and support. After speaking to villagers, Sidney soon realises there may be more to the death than first thought, so he sets about delving deeper to discover what really happened. Sidney works alongside Inspector Geordie Keating (Green) to solve the mystery, and it soon transpires that GeordieÕs methodical approach to policing complements SidneyÕs more intuitive techniques of coaxing information from witnesses and suspects Ð a fantastic new detective team is born.
