Lalo und Judson aus Kalifornien suchten für sich und ihre Töchter ein bezugsfertiges Haus mit drei Schlafzimmern und schönem Garten. Das Objekt, das sie kauften, passte von der Größe, war aber alles andere als schlüsselfertig. Sie machten die Leitungen und Klimaanlagen neu, doch die Innenausstattung überforderte das Paar komplett: Eingangshalle und Kamin sind nicht nutzbar, die Treppengeländer wackelig.
