28 Aug 1988, Ramstein, Germany --- Italian Air Force jets colliding mid-air during the Ramstein Air Show. Three aircraft of the Frecce Tricolori team collided, sending one into the crowd at the U.S. Ramstein Air Base, killing 3 pilots and 67 spectators, and injuring hundreds more. 08 Jun 1989, Seine-St.-Denis, France --- A Russian MiG-29 explodes as it crashes at the 1989 Paris Air Show. Though the aircraft is destroyed, the pilot ejected before the crash and is only slightly injured. 20 Jan 2004, GRESIK, Indonesia --- Clouds of black smoke rises after a large explosion ripped through a chemical factory owned by PT Petro Widada in the Indonesian town of Gresik on January 20, 2004.
