28 Aug 1988, Ramstein, Germany --- Italian Air Force jets colliding mid-air during the Ramstein Air Show. Three aircraft of the Frecce Tricolori team collided, sending one into the crowd at the U.S. Ramstein Air Base, killing 3 pilots and 67 spectators, and injuring hundreds more. 08 Jun 1989, Seine-St.-Denis, France --- A Russian MiG-29 explodes as it crashes at the 1989 Paris Air Show. Though the aircraft is destroyed, the pilot ejected before the crash and is only slightly injured.
