Action

Der ehemalige Marine Mike Riggins hält sich im Ostblock mit Waffenschmuggel über Wasser, bis er nach einem schief gelaufenen Deal im Gefängnis landet. Seine Chancen, dort je lebendig rauszukommen, tendieren gegen Null. Doch eines Tages erhält er überraschend Besuch eines U.S.-Botschafters, der ihm ein Angebot unterbreitet: Sollte es Mike gelingen, die gekidnappte Amerikanerin Ana Gale zu befreien, ist er ein freier Mann. Mike willigt ein, ohne seinen Gegner zu kennen. Anas Entführer ist kein Geringerer als der grausame General Vlado, der sich mit seiner gigantischen, bis an die Zähne bewaffneten Armee am schwarzen Meer verschanzt hat.
