Action, Komödie, Thriller

Shoppen gehen, Party machen, Jungs daten: Violet und Daisy (Alexis Bledel, Saoirse Ronan) scheinen wie zwei ganz normale Teenager, wäre da nicht ihr lukrativer Nebenjob. Die beiden arbeiten als Auftragskillerinnen für den sinistren Mr. Russ (Danny Trejo). Ihr jüngster Job läuft allerdings nicht so glatt wie geplant, denn Zielperson Michael (James Gandolfini) leistet keinen Widerstand und lädt sie stattdessen zu sich ein. Während die drei noch Smalltalk halten, rücken bereits weitere Killer an und die Mission läuft völlig aus dem Ruder. - Grelle und schwarzhumorige Actionfarce im Tarantino-Style, inszeniert von Oscargewinner Geoffrey Fletcher ("Precious").

Regisseur Fletcher bekannte, dass ihn Filme wie "Pulp Fiction", "Superbad" und "Thelma & Louise" zu diesem Debüt-Projekt als Regisseur inspiriert haben. Der Titel "Violet & Daisy" ist eine Referenz an letzteren. Der Charakter des Michael ist eine der letzten Rollen, die Darsteller James Gandolfini vor seinem Tod 2013 gespielt hat.
