Zwar versucht Miss Bulstrode das Geschehene nicht an die Öffentlichkeit dringen zu lassen, aber nach einem Mordversuch, der Enttarnung eines MI5-Agenten und einem weiteren Mord an der Französischlehrerin Mademoiselle Blanche, lässt sich der Aderlass der Schülerschaft nicht mehr aufhalten.
