REENACTMENT - Samuel Walker and his Texas Rangers fire upon the Mexican soldiers in the battlefields of Texas. They are now equipped with Colt revolver firearms, the advantage they need to win the war against Mexico.

REENACTMENT - Mexican soldiers hide with rifles over a ridge during the Mexican American War. They are fighting the Texas Rangers over a territory dispute in 1846. The Americans, with the help of innovations in firearms, won the war in 1848.

REENACTMENT - Daniel Wesson tests out the Wesson brother's new revolver which uses a cocking mechanism on the hammer that automatically turn the cylinder. They believe this design will allow them to get around Colt's patent.

Glenn Curtiss prepares to test fly his "June Bug" plane for the first time as his foreman watches on. The "June Bug" crashes during its test flight, and Curtiss must rebuild it in time for the contest.
