Flying thousands of feet above Alaska, Wendy Kroon (played by Lindsey Fraiser) must climb over a hole in the cabin floor to reach the back of the plane. With help from a commercial fisherman (played by Bill Yack) she climbs over seats to avoid the hole, which was made when a propeller came loose and slammed into the Lockheed Elektra's underbelly. The hole has pinned vital flight controls, making it nearly impossible to control the plane enough to execute a landing. Kroon must prepare passengers for an emergency landing.
