  • Cossack: A record-breaking airplane on a record-breaking flight. Cossack is the NATO code-name for the Antonov 225, the biggest airplane ever built.  This thing is utterly gigantic.  Its 88 meter wings carry 6 huge engines, which put together give more than twice the amount of oomph as a Concorde.  It’s less like a plane than a skyscraper with wings.

  • Antonov flying Mighty Planes shadows an Antonov 124 and her crew on a mission of epic proportions. The Antonov 124 is the world's largest serially manufactured cargo plane. Built to move Soviet military vehicles and equipment the 124's went through a major overhaul at the end of the cold war in order to enter civilian service. Now theyÕre in constant demand moving everything from locomotives to whales anywhere in the world.
