Mark Hardingham was kayaking down the river Lyn in Devon when he became trapped between rocks underneath a torrent of water. Unable to breathe or escape to due the incredible pressure of the water, he had to be rescued by Mark Shackleton and Barny Young, who worked fast to free Hardingham. Thankfully, through coordinated efforts they were able to pull him to safety.
Fire fighters from the South Metro Fire Rescue Authority were overseeing a controlled burn of a 150-acre area in in the Uvalda irrigation ditch when a bizarre natural phenomenon struck, tossing burning tumbleweed high into the air. At 3:30 there was an unpredicted wind shift to the north, which pushed the fire south to a small corner and a dust devil carrying tumbleweeds swept through the controlled fire area - becoming a 'tumble-firenado'.The large fire whirl blew up 70 meters in in the air and lasted about 10 minutes.
Jonathan Fielding was taking his wife Kara out for a birthday flight with their 7-month-old son Jacob and Kara's mother, when the pilot told them there was ice on the plane's carburetor. Though the pilot made an attempt at a safe landing snow had caused the landing gear to sever from the plane, so upon landing, the plane flipped over before it came to a rest upside down. No one was injured in the crash.
A damaged water pipe had eroded much of the soil under a city street in Krasnoyarsk, Russia when a passenger bus carrying around 20 people finally broke through the asphalt and cracked open the already damaged pipe. The pipe released a jet of steam and hot water that blew into the bus. The driver, who was first hit ran out of the bus forgetting to open the back doors, which left passengers trapped in a bus quickly filling up with boiling water. Luckily passer-bys where able to force open the doors and release the passengers.

Tragically one of the passengers died due to a heart attack, but had it not been for quick rescue efforts and the calmness of the passengers it could have been more.
Snowmobile enthusiast Kris Kenni Støvlbæk attempts to become the first person to ride up the Qoororsuaq 2 - a steep mountain in western Greenland. He almost makes it to the summit but crashes and both he and his snowmobile come tumbling back down for a full minute. Kris then makes a desperate attempt to catch his falling vehicle. Fortunately, Kris walked away unharmed from the incident.
