Live Free or Die looks at one of America?s most remote subcultures, following six individuals living in the back woods and swamps of America without any of the trappings of modern society. Freed from the constraints of a technology-fueled existence, they are modern-day pioneers who rely only on their skill and intuition to harness the natural environment. The woods furnish their rugged lifestyle, but poses significant challenges that require quick and innovative solutions. It?s a constant struggle to thrive using only their primitive methods. They are faced with natural obstacles like brutal weather and depleted food sources and must find ways to survive that don?t violate the strict code they abide by to remain totally self-sufficient. But it is this very code, the difficulty of keeping it, and the potential to triumph over nature that fuel their desire to remain on these modern-day frontiers.
