On June 30, 1956 two planes, a DC-7 bound for Chicago and a L-1049 Super-Constellation headed for Kansas City collided in mid-air over the Garnd Canyon. The accident has unnerved the flying public, and now Jack Parshall (played by Michael Copeman) and another C.A.B. Investigator (played by Byron Rouse) must study whatever small pieces of wreckage they've been able to recover to determine what went wrong in this historic accident that lead to a massive overhaul of the Air Traffic Control in the USA.

Passengers are terrfied as the plane begins to plummet
