Dr. Len Lucero nuzzles his unlikely animal friend Chris P. Bacon, a pig. This little piggy was born with a congenital birth defect, resulting in undeveloped hind legs. As such, his original owner opted to euthanize the little piglet, because she couldn?t care for an animal with special needs. She brought the one-day-old baby to Dr. Len for the procedure, but the vet couldn?t bring himself to put down an animal so full of life. Although Len had never brought his work home with him before, he put the little piggy in a box and took him home. Quickly the piglet became the family?s newest addition and now is Len?s friend and ?assistant? at all vet visits.
