Im Bild (v.li.): Janet McTeer (Ann Protheroe), Geraldine McEwan (Miss Jane Marple), Derek Jacobi (Colonel Protheroe), Miriam Margolyes (Mrs. Price-Ridley).

MARPLE: AT BERTRAM’S HOTEL - on ……………….. on ITV1.
Picture shows: Jane Cooper (MARTINE MCCUTCHEON)
Picture caption: GERALDINE McEWAN, as Agatha Christie’s famous spinster sleuth Miss Marple, is once again joined by a glittering cast in the latest MARPLE film for ITV1.
When Miss Marple stays in London’s fashionable Bertram’s Hotel she enjoys the traditional décor, the impeccable service – and the unmistakable atmosphere of danger behind the highly polished veneer. Many of her fellow guests are gathered for the will reading of Sir Richard Blake, the multi millionaire who disappeared seven years previously. His daughter Elvira (BEECHAM) and her estranged mother, the famous adventurer Bess Sedgwick (WALKER), are among them. Tensions grow as jewel thieves, art dealers, soul singers and Nazi hunters are revealed to be among the guests. As the guests mingle in the hotel’s opulent rooms, many questions are left unanswered. Why will Elvira and Bess go to such lengths for family friend Brigit (NIGHY) and hotel doorman Mickey Gorman (REGAN)? What do the bumbling Canon Pennyfather (KAY), German milliner Mutti (HEAP) and the handsome enigma Malinowski (STOPPARD) have in common?
At Bertram’s Hotel stars MARTINE MCCUTCHEON (Love Actually, Eastenders), STEVEN MANGAN (The Green Wing), HANNAH SPEARRIT (Primeval), FRANCESCA ANNIS (Copenhagen, Reckless), MICA PARIS (singer and TV presenter), PETER DAVIDSON (The Last Detective, At Home With The Braithwaites), POLLY WALKER (Rome), VINCENT REGAN (Empire), MARK HEAP (The Green Wing), DANNY WEBB (Life Begins, Our Friends In The North), EMILY BEECHAM (Bon Voyage, The Innocents Project), ED STOPPARD (The Pianist), NICHOLAS BURNS (Nathan Barley, Man Stroke Woman), CHARLES KAY (The Importance of Being Earnest) and MARY NIGHY (Marie Antoinette).
