Während er die gesamte A-Division befragt, erhält Sam Einblick in einen anderen Mordfall. Nachdem er den Details des Mordfalles auf den Grund geht, erfährt er nach und nach, wie es zu der Geiselnahme der beiden Frauen kommen konnte.
Detective Sam Tyler befindet sich nach seinem Unfall immer noch im Manchester der 70-er Jahre.
