Action, Thriller

Fesselnder Actionkracher mit Genre-Schwergewicht Jean-Claude Van Damme (,Universal Soldier', ,Bloodsport'). Auf sich allein gestellt, versucht er - den Tod im Nacken - die Interessen seiner Arbeitgeber zu schützen. Mehr noch: die einer ganzen, fehlgeleiteten Nation. Sam Keenan steht vor der Herausforderung seines Lebens. Schießwütige Rebellen belagern die US-Botschaft, in der der kampferprobte Ex Navy-Seal für Sicherheit sorgen soll. Ihr Ziel: der gewalttätige Umsturz des herrschenden politischen Systems.

Mit allen Mitteln versucht Keenan, den übermächtigen Gegner in Schach zu halten, bis militärische Verstärkung eintrifft. Doch die ist noch meilenweit entfernt. Da regt sich auch in den eigenen Reihen zusehends Widerstand.

Bereits bei "Until Death" drehte Regisseur Simon Fellows mit dem belgischen Actionstar Jean-Claude Van Damme, den er auch für die Hauptrolle in "Second In Command" mit ins Boot holte. Der Film kam 2006 in die Kinos. Zum Cast gehörten auch die schottische Schauspielerin Julie Cox ("Dune - Der Wüstenplanet", "Oxford Murders") sowie Razaaq Adoti ("Resident Evil: Apocalypse") und Alan McKenna ("Blessed", "An American Werewolf In Paris").
