Die VORSTADTKROKODILE feiern Hannes' Geburtstag und den Start in einen grandiosen Sommer: Kai fährt ins Basketball-Camp und Olli mit seiner Freundin in den Urlaub, während der Rest der Truppe Hannes, Maria, Frank, Jorgo und Peter mit halsbrecherischem Tempo über die Kart-Bahn heizt. Da passiert ein dramatischer Unfall: Frank wird mit Blaulicht ins Krankenhaus transportiert und schwebt in Lebensgefahr: Nur die Organspende eines Verwandten kann ihn noch retten. Einziger möglicher Spender ist sein Bruder Dennis - doch der sitzt im Gefängnis! Die Zeit rennt, aber ein Krokodil gibt niemals auf! Super Wetter, schulfrei und dann auch noch Geburtstag: Hannes wird 13 - das muss gefeiert werden! Seine Freunde Frank, Jorgo, Peter und Maria sind natürlich gleich mit am Start. Die Jungs schenken ihm einen Go Kart-Gutschein, den sie sofort einlösen. Zwar ist die Rennbahn geschlossen - doch das ist kein Hindernis für die Bande. Die fünf Freunde leihen sich die Fahrzeuge einfach aus und geben in einem Parkhaus Gas.

Doch die ausgelassene Stimmung ist vorbei, als Frank mit dem Go Kart einen Unfall baut und sich schwer verletzt. Die Diagnose: Frank braucht dringend eine neue Leber. Der einzige mögliche Spender ist Franks älterer Bruder Dennis. Den haben die Krokodile allerdings selbst hinter Gitter gebracht. Und weil der Gefängnisdirektor Dennis auf keinen Fall vor die Tür lassen will, heckt die Bande einen Plan aus, wie sie seine Befreiung am besten organisieren kann. Werden die Jungs ihrem Freund auf diese Weise das Leben retten? Auf gute Freunde ist Verlass.

Auch im dritten Film zeigen die Vorstadtkrokodile, dass echte Freunde in schweren Zeiten immer füreinander da sind. Inzwischen sind die Bandenmitglieder Teenager und der liebevolle Charme ihrer Charaktere ist mitgewachsen. Einfallsreich, cool und immer auch ein bisschen frech: Die Nachwuchsschauspieler Nick Romeo Reimann (Hannes), Fabian Halbig (Kai) und Katharina Leonie Tepe (Maria) wissen, was ein echtes Krokodil ausmacht. Auch Nora Tschirner, bekannt aus den Spielfilmen "Keinohrhasen" und "Zweiohrküken", ist als Hannes' unkonventionelle Mutter wieder mit von der Partie.
