Im Frühjahr stand Colin Farrell für seinen nächsten Science-Fiction-Film vor der Kamera. Das außergewöhnliche Liebesdrama "The Lobster" zeigt eine düstere Zukunftsvision: Um die Menschen zu zwingen, in Paaren zusammenzuleben, verhaftet die Obrigkeit Singles und sperrt sie in ein schäbiges Hotel. Dort haben sie 45 Tage Zeit, untereinander einen Partner zu finden. Wer alleine bleibt, wird in ein Tier verwandelt und in den Wald gejagt. Im englischsprachigen Debüt des griechischen Regisseurs Giorgos Lanthimos sind neben Farrell unter anderem Oscar-Preisträgerin Rachel Weisz ("Der ewige Gärtner"), Léa Seydoux ("Blau ist eine warme Farbe") und Ben Wishaw ("Das Parfum") zu sehen. Einen Termin für den Kinostart in Deutschland gibt es noch nicht.
